An Incomparable Eco-Destination.
If you truly admire the earth’s beauty and have a deep passion for environmental conservation, Crown Jewel Resort Ranch is a must see. Tucked away in the Baddeck River Valley on Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia, you’ll find one of the most pristine places in the world. You’ll experience an era when all farming was organic and animals worked side by side with their masters.
As you fly-in you’ll be greeted by one of the most scenic runways you’ll ever approach. The elevated runway is carved out of a slope of an elongated ridge in the center of the resort. You’ll experience breathtaking views of the Baddeck River Valley and Bras D’Or Lake. While the airstrip currently has a gravel runway and supports VFR only, renovations including a GPS approach, runway extension and hangar and runway paving are currently under way and are expected to be complete this summer.

As an eco-destination, Crown Jewel prides itself on providing four seasons of adventure in a remote wilderness while maintaining a commitment to protect the natural wonders that surround. The family owned and operated resort ranch creates unforgettable and educational experiences. Founder and President, Nahman Korem, a former fighter pilot, and his staff, extend their passions for adventure and nature to their guests. They use traditional farming methods to personally grow all cuisine that is served and lead adventurous expeditions, including riding Fjord horses deep into the old growth Acadian forest, fly-fishing for Atlantic salmon, foraging the wilderness for edible plants or dog sledding across freshly fallen snow.
Experience nature at its best. This world-class resort lives up to its name.
